Hi, I’m Alysa—
a Pilates instructor, athletic trainer and fitness coach with 2 decades of experience in helping people overcome health challenges, so they can live fully in their bodies at any age.
I’ve always had an ability to see deeper into people’s posture and physicality—to see where their movement is impeded or in need of fine-tuning. This unique skill allows me to help my clients to experience efficient, pain-free and functional movement.
As a trainer, I inspire my clients to learn to heal themselves through movement. I started my journey with the study and practice of neuromuscular sports massage for structural integration and performance. I then went on to study Pilates, and later, the Yoga TuneUp® method and Clubbell Yoga, myofascial release and mindful breathing techniques, which I’ve blended together to help my clients achieve even more powerful and long-lasting results, with the unexpected bonus of feeling deep-rooted happiness and newfound confidence in how their bodies move.
I’m passionate in my belief that empowerment develops through a combination of education and personal choice. As a result, my teaching style is one that creates the space for students to ask questions and explore their bodies more deeply. Clients take my sessions to build a strong mind and body, while having fun combating age and gaining confidence in the bodies they were given.
Whether it’s a group classes, one-on-one session, or in workshops, I tailor the exercises to the needs and goals of the individual. Every session includes a blend of the diverse techniques that I’ve learned over the course of my decades of study, to release old physical and emotional patterns and eliminate pain in the body, while building structural integrity, facilitating ease of movement and increasing athletic performance.

my
story
After experiencing an accident at work that left me in chronic pain, I knew that something had to shift—and fast! I officially changed careers in 2002, transitioning from my corporate role with Estée Lauder to training in Pilates, which became my career, lifestyle and craft.
Fast-forward to today and I live a pain-free, active life that allows me to work with amazing people of all ages, body types, lifestyles and levels of activity—including some of my first clients from almost 20 years ago! Because of my own experiences with injury and chronic pain—and the stress and disconnection from the body that these can cause—I know, with total empathy and confidence, that I can help. Together, we pursue innovative training techniques (including Stick Mobility, myofascial release and breath work) that continually nourish, nurture and restore the all-important mind-body connection that’s so crucial to our vitality and longevity.
